It's been quite time since i wrote ! Oh well, you know.. most of my time is spent at work, then to taking care of lil Rosemary after work, and it sure does seem to me that time is never enough ! By 11pm or so, my battery level drops almost to "low battery sign"!
So, what's been going on for the past few weeks? Well, thankfully the nausea, tiredness symptoms have all decreased since middle of August and now it's honeymoon time! ~ Eat and sleep all I can! Though I must say, occassionally I do get butterflies in my tummy when I think about The Day. I pray all goes well and the pain will not last for more than an hour ! Hehe..
Did a scan last week and Doctor said very likely baby is a ....... let's just say, I should start buying up some blue colours! hehe! To be honest, I kinda suspected since early pregnancy. You call it, instinct? This pregnancy is so different compared to Rosemary. When I was conceiving her, I had no mood to make myself looking good, I hated make up stuffs, perfumes or anything that would make a lady look good. Looking back now, I thought I really looked unattractive! But.. for this one, I love to play around with make up stuffs, I am very disciplined with skin care and I take pride in dressing up properly just to look good. hahaahahaha.. really, it may sound weird to some of you but that is exactly what I've been experiencing.
Oh well, I would love to write more about Rosemary's reaction when I told her about there's a baby on the way! But it's back to work now. I'll see you guys soon with more updates!
It's just us

What am I to do?!
I am so in dilemma right now. Boss just told me that he would like me to join our company’s trip somewhere in September this year to Bali, Indonesia. Very likely a 4 days 3 nites stay. But….. (OK guys, I’ve got a news to break here.. I am actually…. 2 mths pregnant ! )
Of course boss already knows but he said it’s still OK to travel even though by then I would be around 5 months. But, hubby is not keen to let me go for this trip as he feels it’s too risky to go travelling and I kinda agree with my hubby because if to those who’ve not seen my pictures when I was carrying Rosemary, you can check them out here. I was very huge by the 3rd trimester. 2nd trimester was just the same. At my 5th month pregnancy, I was bigger than many other mommies who were about 6 - 7 months pregnant!
Point being, maybe I am not a risk taker or whatsoever, and you know how’s company trip are usually, lots of team building and walkings. I don’t think I am capable of doing that. Bali is beautiful and I do hope to go there too but I guess the timing is just not right. Oh gosh.. please tell me what to do!! I have to tell him my decision today but I am so afraid that he’ll get upset as I could see from his expression yesterday that he’s really hoping that I would go along. My boss is one of the nicest boss I’ve got by far, and though I know that in the end, he’ll accept it if I told him I really couldn’t make it, but at the same time I know he really wants me to be in this trip because he feels that it is important since I am in the HR Department and you know how important it is for the HR department o socialize with other employees. Arrrghh… please give me some ideas!

Full of S.. !
If there's one thing that I can't stand in any human characteristics, that would be rudeness or sarcastic remarks that is said on purpose to hurt your feelings. Come to think of it, does it hurt to be nice ah? Does it cost any money ah? I don't understand why some people choose to behave that way? For self satisfaction ? I paling hate those who looks at you and then gives you an answer with those big popped out eyes, as if you've just asked them one hell of a stupid question. If big eyes like this cute baby, at least acceptable jugak, since the expression is adorable.
But if kena pandang with eyes yang langsung tak menyerlahkan (non attractive eyes) and menakutkan (scary looking ones) and then accompanied with sarcastic hurtful remarks, how to tolerate? - OK that was a mean remark, but they definitely deserve it !
Come on la, if it's really a stupid question, not everyone is smart what. So, what's so wrong about answering politely or explaining nicely.
Here's a sample of a frustrating conversation: -
What?? No thank you??? No appreciation?? This is just some of the samples. I did a google search on people with this sort of attitude problem. Turns out, there is an explanation for this! Wow !
“Hurtful sarcasm is a way of putting someone or something down without directly insulting them. It usually implies an irritating "I'm 1-up" (superior) attitude and body language. It provides a way for the speaker to deny their criticism and avoid owning their attitude (a double message). Excessive or hurtful sarcasm usually indicates the person is ruled by a false self, and doesn't know how to assert and prob-lem-solve respectfully”
So wanna know how to deal with these kind of people, you can read on in this link I found from the net.
I suspect people who love throwing hurtful sarcastic remarks are people who are insecure but at the same time is totally crazy for power. They just love the sight of you being belittled. It gives them some sense of satisfaction and a feeling of victory. ALSO, knowing that they could get away easily because I am pretty sure they would normally dare to be sarcastic only to people like us, who are nice. So you tell me now, what do you say, maybe nice people should start being nasty to nuisance mosquitoes like them and put them back to their places! Or…..
should nice people just continue being nice, take a big breathe, suck it allll in and walk away, perhaps?

A scenario whereby polite gal, a working colleague of Sarcastic B in a team, helps Sarcastic B to make a phone call since Sarcastic B is appearing to be busy. Busy or LLB* or not... god only knows la.
Polite gal: Eh, I have called Mike for you and he said he'll be able to drop by end of this week only. Is it OK with you?
Sarcastic B*: Hallorr ! If I have to wait for him to come by end of this week, I would have called him myself lah! and make the appointment to see him ??
Polite gal: Err.... I am only helping you to call since you mentioned you are busy today. I can't force him to to come leh since he's tied up these few days.
Sarcastic B* gives that annoying big eyes look and walks away.

She's dancing !
I have been away from blogging due to workload. But I told myself that by hook or crook, I have to post this video up. My daughter is a big fan of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, but what I didn’t know is, she loves to dance to Mickey Mouse clubhouse music theme. I managed to capture her dance moves for the first time! Since the music coming out from the TV is soft, you won't be able to hear any music at all. Funny sight though... cause you'll get to see in the background, my husband (who never dances) tries to cerograph some moves for her! It’s really hilarious, you probably hear that I am holding back my laughter, but right after the shot, I laughed my heart out!! Here it is… I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I did!
Memories of my college days
My boss, my colleague and myself made a trip to Stamford College PJ yesterday to interview some secretarial students, hoping to find one potential to be recruited in our company. Why Stamford College? Well, firstly because I graduated from there in 1997 and by far, even after so many years, I still think that Stamford Secretarial School is the top ranking in producing quality secretarial students.
So as we walked in to the premise, I was impressed with the interior design. I expected to walk in to see the familiar office that I used to walk in and out every day for almost 3 years. But it turned out, they've changed the layout completely......impressive, I would like to add on. Well, compared to back then, really... trust me!
Memories started flooding in. I remembered clearly how easy it was for me to sneak out to the canteen, as the office I was assigned to was just right next to the canteen. I was never hungry! Those were the good ol' days. As I stood looking at the canteen, I saw the young and vibrant Rose hanging out with a few good friends, over a cup of coffee.
Saturdays was always the best day of the week, because I'll never miss breakfast. Aunty's nasi lemak was awesome. I remembered even going back there with my best friend on Saturday mornings for breakfast, even after we no longer work at Stamford. That power, aunty's nasi lemak was !
As I was having a good time, recalling all these sweet memories, I was "awaken" by the arrival of the Head of Secretarial School and she greeted us warmly. We were escorted to 1st floor and of course I knew the place very well. She brought us and introduced us to the Model Office. Wow... oh wow! This was the 1st office I worked when I was hired, before moving down to the Ground Floor next to the canteen, months later.
Model office, I never thought I would hear this term again. You see, when any secretarial students were to graduate, they'll have to go through what some may call it internship training. But here, secretarial students will have to "imagine" that they are working in a real life office, headed by the Head of School of course, playing the role as the "boss". From time to time, boss will dictate the assignments and then nervous students will try their best to absorb all information which have to be carried out later and must be accomplished! Imagine the stress. I remembered, back then, I played the role of a "big sister" to sort of like supervising these students and delegating work assignments to them. Believe me when I said I had fun!
I do miss my ex- 1st boss, and my lecturers. My mentor back then was non other than the pioneer lady boss of School of Secretarial Studies; Mrs Vivianne See. She is elegant, intelligent and really one of a kind! She taught me from grooming, to ethics, etiquette and though I've disappointed her many, many times, she never gave up on me. I found friendship, discipline and love through her guidance and I owe her a big thank you today. Of course I also remembered my other dear lecturers, Puan Lubna, Mrs James, Mrs Jacob, Mr Julian ahem ahem... a thorn among the roses, and well oh well, Ms Thilagavathy. How could I ever forget her! She was my good friend, who's always advising and supporting me. I've not forgotten Puan Nora too. She's one iron lady I tell you but truthfully, with a soft heart and a funny person. Efficient is her middle name, by the way.
So my dear lecturers, if you ever came across this page, I just want to say thank you for being wonderful and patient with me when I was young and mischievous. The best of me today for being a secretary, reminds me every time of you all.

wow! I was Missing in Action!
Phewwww !! I was missing in action for way too long and I miss blogging so much! Firstly, thank you to my friends who constantly came back to check on my blog only to find nothing's being updated! and so I thank you for your patience. My apologies for the long silence......
I have been busy with work and of course my weekends are spent mostly with little Rosemary, and believe me when I say she's a handful, she is indeed one! I am waiting anxiously for the day to come to hear her calling me; Mummy! Right now, some of her most popular words are Dada whom she refers to her daddy, her grandfather, and occasionally her uncles too. Mama, as you can guess, referring to me, *a big grin here* and her grandmother (hubby's mom) As for my mom, since my mom identified herself as Ah Mah Po Po to little Rosemary since baby, and so quite recently little Rosemary has started calling my mother; Paopao.
You can imagine how I was caught with a pleasant surprise one fine day in the car, when little Rosemary was humming to herself! I have no idea where she got the melody from, but believe me, it sounded really, very nice. She hummed like a pro. We got her some nursery rhyme CDs and you wouldn't want to take them away from her cause, those are her precious possessions! lol She loves to watch the cartoon characters displayed in the nursery rhymes and me, even as an adult enjoyed watching. If you are curious to know, the CDs are entitled Sing Along Karaoke, and there are CD 1 - CD 4, by Innoform Media. I got CD 1, 3 and 4 from Jusco during sale time, so it's quite worth it to buy if there's a discount. Little Rosemary picked up some cute actions from watching these cartoons. I think it's OK to allow our toddler to watch these CDs as these are the educational type. Some may disagree with me, but oh well, it's subject to your own preference of bringing up.
Wanna see her in action? haha.. enjoy this 2 little pictures....
..this is how you do it! 1, 2, 3-4-5, once I caught a fish alive...! |
...see mama, my cooking is tasty! yummmmm ! |
